We're going to see the Wildebeest migration whilst Kenya is relatively quiet so not so many white vans.
Africa and it's wildllife is our favourite destination and we have been lucky enough to visit many of it's countries and different environments over the last few years.

aww brilliant, we saw the migration (we also went in Aug) at it was absolutely amazing, we also did a hot air ballon ride over the migration, that was some sight!! we have stayed in the Mara Serena, Mara Sarova & Masai Mara Safari club

We're staying at the Serena for the first time and Keekarok where we've stayed a few times before and really like.
Did the baloon ride a few years ago and also one over the Serengeti. Brilliant!!! We'll see while we're there if we do it this time. It is so expensive.
Apparently they wildebeest are crossing about 3 weeks early due to drought in the Serengeti so we may not see the crossings but I have mixed feelings about seeing that anyway.

Brilliant.
At least I'll be able to find it this time Razz
I know there's a pub & snackbar. You can walk right round the lake, one part Dogs need to go on leads, but it comes after a 2 mile walk, so they should be worn out by then.
Chad has invited his best friend (partner in crime) Stone along for a nice swim & stroll. I think some other club members might be interested too Very Happy .
Fingers crossed for a nice day & good turn out Next LCGSD walk - ideas please... - Page 2 672958

Pat it's about 15 miles from Heathrow.....I'd guess about 3 hours for you.
Straight down the A1(M)....onto the M1 & then the M25
If we do the next one nearer Peterborough it will only be half the distance for you Thumbs Up

Yay...there's an offer Pat...it's a straight road all the way. Yes

There's a waterfall on the walk (great spot for photo's) & some ruins.
Loads of lovely swimming places....including a shallow bit for those that are learning to swim Wink
These pics were taken just before I got Chad, so Chili was about 21 months old

There'll be a new post with the map & time on.
The car park entrance is on the A30 opposite the total garage, next to The Wheatsheaf pub.
